Ford v Ferarri
(Film Costumes)
As part of a film costume contract based in Los Angeles, I contributed to the production of Ford v Ferrari by developing historically accurate garments for various scenes set in the 1960s. My role involved reverse-engineering clothing from period pieces as well as analyzing archival photographs and reference imagery to ensure authenticity in every look.
This project required a high level of technical proficiency, particularly in areas such as proportion, draping, and fit. I created custom pattern designs entirely from scratch and performed size grading to accommodate a wide range of body types—ensuring full costume coverage for background actors and principal talent alike. Working under tight timelines, limited direction, and resource constraints, I was able to meet the creative demands of the production while maintaining historical integrity.
While some of the most intricate garments I constructed did not appear in the final cut of the film, the project remains a significant highlight in my career. It showcases my ability to blend historical research with technical craftsmanship to bring authentic, screen-ready costumes to life.
